comon man, I read the whole series 3 plus times. I know he got shot, tell me something I dont know.
he looks like Darryl from the show to me so of course I love this look 😉
Am I the only one here that noticed how much has that wound expanded? I mean, on this picture you can see that the gunshot blew off a large chunk off his face, exactly the part where his eye was. But on the recent pictures it looks like LITERALLY half of his face was damaged, the wound goes even below his lips, while on the picture below you can clearly see that the hole is much smaller.
I suppose it could have been infection, and tissue needed to be removed?
Or maybe just scar tissue being weird. *shrug* Yeah, that’s odd.

It is pretty much healed, I’m guessing at least, with a black and white comic, what looks like it might be a fresh wound could actually just be scarring.
It bothers me too, like Carl’s glasses.
I think it makes it more realistic carl just went with the whole I don’t give a fuck about my missing eye ill go with a emo goth hair style and now hes going modern hipster with a carl twist this is realistic because hes growing up and just like everyone growing up he’s trying to find himself

Exactly! Although I’m sure Rick will be with us for a good while longer(I don’t see him giving up the ghost until at least #200); this is the first baby step in that direction. They’re beginning to “humanize” Rick. The severe, and permanent leg injury makes us realize, for the first time, just how mortal Rick actually is. On top of that, the simple addition of a cane, as a necessity to Rick’s mobility; cast him in an entirely different light. Bathing him in vulnerability. As much as I hate it, it’s inevitable; I think they will slowly “chip away” at Rick in this manner, until eventually when the day comes we will be desensitized, and more than likely expecting it .

I don’t like this as much. If show Carl were to get glasses, he’d look adorable, but this…this differs from badass into lesbianism. (Hey, just joking…no hurt feelings, everyone..) and his hair is shorter. Plus, he needs a hat. He just does.
I agree on the show Carl thingy….. but dude, this is kinda rude…..Carl’s a guy…so he cant technically be a lesbian……

Carl looks a lot like his mom and his father. I wonder if Rick knows him.
ZING! Of course Rick knows Shane! LOL–All jokes aside though, Mr. Adlard deserves a tip of the hat and some serious continuity points for his portrayal of Carl. Not only for the difficult task of aging him through the series while maintaining his defining characteristics and facial features; but also for making him legitimately look like his mother. And having those similarities become more prominent as he grows older is accurate to how it occurs in real life. Bravo!
Come on with today’s character already! LOL–I’m really digging these promo’s(honestly I love all promos; even back to ones like Hunters’ “The Dead Don’t Stalk, Watch, Track, Hunt” and No Way Out’s “Surrender, Desperate Measures, No One is Safe, The End?”).
I can’t wait to see the promos for the other characters. I especially like these because they’re showcasing characters; not events. Which is cool and I think important because quite a few of the characters seem to have evolved and taken on new roles over the past couple years. This further supports the ongoing theme of “Who we are and What we Become”(one of my personal favorites). It’s also sort of similar to the underlying theme of the season four finale; as well as the final scenes where Gareth callously pigeonholes each of our beloved survivors; calls them like he sees them, so to speak–“Leader, Archer, Samurai,Boy(or All-American Boy??lol)” was even further support of the theme, but more importantly brought a sort of resolution to it. Taking a new, unbiased perspective and seemingly answering the tonal question of “Who we are and What we Become”.
The glasses don’t bother me but what is that necklace about? Lol
With the serenity of the newly established community, he’s had a little time to be a kid in somewhat of a normal life.
