Nah, in all honestly, I like michonne a lot, but Andrea’s story arc has been so much better, she has developed so much as a character, which I like to see, whereas as good as michonne is her character is largely unchanged from her first appearance.

I put shiva just because I think she saved Ezekiel’s life and Carl has been getting kind of annoying but that’s just me
I picked Shiva because I’m a big fan of her and Ezekiel . I like what they have brought to the story.
I choose Carl. He’s held his ground while a few adults around him lost theirs. He’s the manliest kid I know. Someone on this site once called him the John Connor of TWD apocalypse… that stuck with me. I still believe he’ll be the last man standing.

Michonne has had a few more ‘spectacular’ moments then Andrea…but I never did like her schmoozing on taken men. Though I can understand it and it makes her a realistically flawed character. Hmmm. This is one where id be ok with either result…

Okay, I don’t post here much, but as a big fan of TWD I am a bit dumbfounded with the people who have made it into the semi-finals.
Firstly, Glenn made it past the first round? How the hell does that work? Glenn’s character had no depth. He was a nice guy who joked around. He had no special moments in the series besides his death and never stuck out from the pack. He somehow outlived better characters like Tyreese (who should beat him in the votes logically) and Abraham. Glenn beating out Negan automatically sends out signs that this vote is just biased and people don’t care who is the better character. Negan has had many standout moments in his short time already, including giving Glenn his one standout moment in his death! I wouldn’t be surprised if Glenn went on to win the whole damn thing, because people can seriously not see that he was a very boring and stale character from the get-go. He was nothing more than crappy comic relief.
Secondly, Michonne has made it much too far. Was she a good character? Yeah, during the prison she was. But now? Michonne is nothing but the cliche group badass. She has barely anywhere left to go as a character and she is now physically painful to read. Every time Michonne appears on-panel now, it robs another deserving character of that, like Aaron or Heath (why are they not in this competition?). Michonne beating out Abraham is a joke. Abraham is 100% the better character in every way possible. Michonne is likely to beat out Andrea too…a much better character than herself.
Why was Eugene knocked out in the first round by Morgan? Are people seriously saying that Morgan is a better character than Eugene…who is one of the best characters in the entire TWD franchise. You have got to be fucking kidding me? I am starting to think people only voted for Morgan because of LJ’s performance as him in the freaking TV show.
One last thing. Why in the fuck are Shiva, Buttons the horse, Judith and the twins in this competition? They are not even proper characters, just plot devices and animals. You are telling me that those four made it into the competition but Allen, Aaron, Douglas and Alice didn’t? What the fucking fuck is up with that?
This has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. Not just because I am a fan of some of the characters that got eliminated, but because of how stupid the voting and construction of the characters in the competition is. This is just silly.
I feel ya on the characters (except Eugene… I don’t like Eugene). BUT this is all opinion…of who our FAVORITE characters are & more importantly, the whole thing is meant to be FUN & I, for one, am enjoying the hell out of it, even though Negan lost to Glenn. So seriously, it’s not that serious.

Anyway, I get that it is fun. I just am a little baffled at the reason people chose Glenn over Negan and Morgan over Eugene. I don’t get the appeal of the characters, I guess I was really just asking for justification as to why they were being picked. I just don’t believe Glenn could beat out Negan in a comic poll as Negan seems to have a much bigger fanbase. I just seems some people who have never read the comics are voting on this. Oh well I guess, I will continue to pray Maggie or Andrea somehow win this.
The way I see it, looks like a handful of people are voting good over evil or who would win in a battle….or who they would WANT to win in a battle. Then “characters” like Buttons & Shiva are simply thrown in, just for the fun of it. Then there are those of us that simply have a difference of favorites. For instance, Morgan was short-lived… but in the few frames that I read about him, I loved him because of that interaction with Rick & the relationship with Duane. I simply do not like Eugene, although I know his resourcefulness makes him valuable to the community & I “feel for him” because he’s an OK guy who feels he’s undeserving of attention from a woman like Rosita. He’s just not a cool character for me. I absolutely love Negan, while Glenn is just Glenn….nothing special about him to me. But there are posters on this site who’ve expressed that Negan is too “over-the-top” for them & that Glenn has been a brave trooper in the story for a long time.
I have to admit that I wish everyone would simply vote for favorites, but for us site regulars, we pretty much know where we all stand, so I’m just playing along, however it may come down.
I’m voting Andrea all the way. I know she will more than likely lose to Michonne. That’s OK….she’s still my #1!

I really do think Eugene should have won he is a great character.
First, you’re absolutely right on a few things. There are some odd voting patterns, and yes, I think it’s show fans voting, but that’s OK, this isn’t a presidential election (and feel free to vote in the show version). BUT, I think you’re really wrong about Glenn. We love him here in the office, he’s the pizza boy that made something of himself when the world went to shit. He was completely selfless all the time. And if he weren’t so beloved, issue 100 wouldn’t have been nearly as heartbreaking. Of course, everyone is entitled to like whomever they like, for whatever reasons they like. That’s one of the cool things about TWD. Don’t like Daryl? Enjoy THAT argument on Twitter.
Also, the bracketing means we can do 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. I sure as hell wasn’t going to do 64 people. And even at 32 it’s VERY obvious that certain people will win. Characters like Aaron and Heath would have been very unlikely to make it out of the first round. So I decided to drop a few people and have some fun with some random picks. I fucking love Shiva, so she was making the 32 no matter what, but how fun to put her up against Buttons the Horse (who is something of a legend here in the office, so you’re going to have live with her, too).
Judith and Ben &Billy are just some wrenches to throw in the works.
I’m sorry you don’t like it, and that it frustrates you, if you watch the show maybe you’ll enjoy that one more.
