Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Power Rankings: Week Three

This week’s Fear Power Rankings drastically shifted after Dwight’s crossover, the kids’ reveal, and Althea’s continued absence. As always, we grade with a recency bias, so if a character hasn’t affected the story recently they’re getting moved down.

1. Morgan

Morgan still holds a slight edge over Alicia in these power rankings, partly because he bailed her and Luciana out on the road. And although Morgan never spoke with Dwight on The Walking Dead, they still have a history. And Morgan’s connection to Negan’s old right-hand-man will surely prove valuable in the weeks ahead.

2. Alicia

Alicia’s relentless mission to find the kids ended with unexpected results – it’s Annie and the gang who were behind the walker gut road traps.

3. John (+1)

John and June were both instrumental in saving Dwight and escaping from the horde in The Gulch. And although June is the show’s medical professional, we’re giving the edge to John this week for the San Antonio split. I mean LOOK at this:

4. June (-1)

Speaking of splits, we realize we’re splitting hares with some of these rankings. But as we mentioned, point to John for pulling off that trick.

5. Daniel (+1)

Even though Daniel didn’t appear in this episode we realized based on his warehouse, supplies, plane, and cat that he should be in the top 5. A lot more on Mr. Salazar next week.

6. Luciana (+3)

Since Luciana’s on the mend and helping Alicia we’re moving her up back to her rightful place.

7. Strand (-2)

Strand’s getting moved down for the simple fact that he wasn’t in this episode. But if we were doing an actor Power Rankings you KNOW Colman would be at the top for his amazing directing chops this week.

8. Dwight (NEW)

Dwight has finally crossed over into Fear the Walking Dead. Since we still have to see where his story goes we’re placing him right in the middle of our rankings. His mission to find Sherry will take some interesting turns, so look forward to seeing more Dwighty-boy in the upcoming episodes.

9. Grace (-2)

Grace is also getting moved down for not being included in this episode. More on her soon.

10. Annie (+4)

Oh boy, Annie and the kids might be evil. Or maybe they’re super protective of their clan. Either way, Annie and Max may be more powerful than all our characters right now. But until we know more, we’re just moving them up a bit.
