Like it or not, Sunday’s Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead will be controversial. Cast members and producers have already labeled it emotionally draining and one of the most intense episodes in the series. Adding fuel to that fire is Norman Reedus, who recently sat down with Dalton Ross from Entertainment Weekly to discuss the contentious finale.
“I saw a little rough cut of it,” Norman Reedus, said. “And it’s the most hardcore episode we’ve ever shot. I couldn’t speak after I watched it. And, of course, I knew what was happening, and what was going to happen, and who was involved, but I got to tell you, I couldn’t speak for like an hour. And then I just was bombarded with phone calls on my drive home. But that was a rough, rough, rough cut. I will say that it might be the best episode we’ve ever shot of the show.”
Although he’s new on the show, this isn’t Norman’s first encounter with Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. “I’ve known Jeffrey for a long, long time,” says Reedus. “He’s a friend of mine, and I really respect him as an actor. And as a dude, he’s just the best. It’s weird to have such a nice guy playing such an a–hole, you know what I mean? But that’s just the testament to how good he is. So I’m excited to see where he goes and what happens to that guy.”
Sorry fans, look like you won’t get much reprieve from the finale. What you CAN get is the entire interview over at Entertainment Weekly! What are YOUR predictions for Sunday’s finale??
You guys should do a pool for who’s going to die next episode!
TWD just don’t KILL OFF MY 3 FAVORITES Rick Michonne and Carl! RIP who ever GETS LUCILLED!
Already planning to call in to work Monday. Recovery time needed!
The media frenzy on this is getting out of hand – not this particular article – but at least 3 or 4 on news sites daily. The media is overplaying it – need diapers? really? seriously?
Now, unless they kill off someone other than the already expected characters, it’s almost going to be anti-climactic to anyone closely following who also reads all these stories (guilty here … so I can only blame myself, I guess).
It’s Glenn. It needs to be Glenn.
My nominees are: Glenn, Abraham, Morgan, and Daryl.
I think it’s gonna be Abraham.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so anxious.
Personally for me, it’s quite obvious that Daryl loses his hand.. Rick does in the comics but hasn’t yet in the adaption. And although not everything gets pulled from the comics and put into the Tv Series, but the major things do, and Rick losing his hand was HUGE. In Jan of 2016 I went to the Horror Fest in San Antonio, where there were a bunch of The Walking Dead cast. The first thing I noticed was that most of the cast were Deceased characters except for Seth (Father Gabriel) Michael (Abraham) Alexandra (Jesse) and Major (Sam).. when Jesse and Sam were killed off I started thinking.. Holy F***ing Shatner… EVERYONE at that expo were dead cast members… or are they? All I am saying is my vote for the Death counter is Abraham and Father Gabriel, and probably Glenn. Oh and I totally think Enid is Alpha’s daughter.
I think Carol & Morgan will kill each other. If the show really wanted to throw the fans a curveball it may be Michonne who meets Lucille……
This is hilarious to read after watching.
I think it is Abraham who gets the bat!!
