Beth may go down as one of those epic deaths we love and hate. Like Hans, Wash, Jason Todd, Aeris, and others. I’m not sure if Beth will be looked on in years like most of those other deaths, but its possible. It sure has drummed up a surprising amount of support.
Seems like most people disliked her while she was alive. Then there’s so much love after she dies… like Michael Jackson. What’s worse is the group of people that want her brought back to be killed off properly. WTF?!
I always loved her. I just never thought the show would do such an injustice to her character. So now they want me to be loud, I’ll be loud.

I agree!! I am a huge supporter of the TV show and a ton of it’s merch and I would walk away in a heart beat and stick to just the comics only… and I am positive I am not the only one. To let a small tiny fraction of the fans control the story would be a huge slap in the face to the other majority of the fan base… for example 50k Beth supporters over 20 million fans fine with the way it is..

Her story was great and her dead was fair to such a beautiful character that simbolized color and hope in this horrible world. She won’t come back but we will still see more interesting characters and TWD won’t stop to amaze us.

OK, worthallyourgalleons, I went back & compared the trajectory of Gifford’s wound to Beth’s, who I initially thought took the bullet under her chin. Upon closer look & running Beth’s video frame-by-frame, I noticed the entrance on her forehead. This would make it comparable to Gifford’s. I enjoy the show too much to run through it with a fine-toothed comb or obsess over why it may not have went down the way I wanted it to. So you’ve proven your point… buddy.
Even so, the care that women got was immediate and with a TEAM of Professionals… Beth got carried outside… Bitch is dead. period. lol No matter how these people want to throw real world comparatives… they need to keep in mind the world is gone in TWD…. Beth is gone.

Add Angelo Hays to the list then, because he didn’t get medical treatment. In the 1800’s someone (whose name I don’t remember at the moment) took a road spike under the chin and it went into their head also hitting their brain stem, and they survived, they didn’t have medical treatment like we do now.
The place Beth was shot, could very easily have missed her brain anyways, and even if it did hit her brain it wouldn’t have been really vital, only hitting her frontal lobe, which worst case scenario, if she survived, would probably cause some memory loss and maybe she’d have to work on gaining use of some of her right body again, but it wouldn’t be a completely awful “oh wow she’s brain dead and immobilized what was the point of this” situation.
Now I’m not saying I’m 300% on board with the Beth lived theories but some of them that have been thrown around actually make sense, with back up from things throught previous episodes that make some theories more solid. The way a lot of people are acting, saying anyone at all who has any bit of faith and hope that she did live is stupid, and that of she does live then that’s dumb, because honestly that’d be a stroke of genius. We expect major heart hitting deaths but doing that over and over is just predictable and tiring for all of us. If Beth lived, it’d be an unexpected change in the show, and it would set it apart from other shows and other seasons of the show. It definitely wouldn’t be the worst thing they could do, like its been made out to be.
Are you high? Carl was shot from an angle destroying his eye and ear only. His brain was fine then was immediately taken to a legitimate surgeon that minute.
Now, there are two ways we can consider Beth’s shot:
A.) She was shot in the fucking chin with the bullet coming out the back of her head and splattering her brains everywhere was indicated by THE ENTIRE FUCKING EXECTION OF THE SCENE.
B.) She was shot in the forehead because there’s an entry wound there despite it being impossible that Dawn could have done it from that angle and someone either in directing, special effects, or post-production editing is a fucking idiot who didn’t catch one of the biggest fucking goofs in the entire series.
Either way: Beth’s brains are splattered over the wall. And then they carried her out of the hospital allowing the wound a little time to go cold. Again, comparing this to Carl: Carl was shot at an angle making the bullet destroy his eye and shred his ear but his brain was pretty much intact and he was medically looked at a heartbeat later. Now, looking at Beth, either way we have her brain flying up out of her head and lots of time for her to just sit there with her wound not getting any younger. Unless she has a twin sister named Beth who was long lost and just found or she is reduced to a catatonic vegetable, Beth is done. Dead. Over.
She’s not coming back.
Beth Greene’s death was unjustified, we knew when the other characters were going to die, as they died in the comic. Beth was a smart and tactful character that wouldn’t have stabbed a Police Officer in the chest with a pair of scissors… Beth could have survived the gunshot to the head, yeah, this is a Post apocalyptic show so supplies are scarce, but research Phineas Gage, a man who got an object forced through his central brain stem in the nineteenth century. He lived long after this incident, even though when he vomited after the accident, a chunk of brain protruded from his skull and fell onto the floor. His personality did change, but he managed to keep his memories and friendships.
Think of it like this, if Beth loses her memories, she would be reborn as a survivor. She would only know and remember the world around her as it is, she would become a warrior.
Or you could go down the path of a dream, Carol knew Beth was at the hospital, and was aware of the presences around her as she went into a comatose state.
Bringing back Beth wouldn’t ruin the show, it would make it vastly different from other shows that are around now. Turning a small fragile farm girl into a natural born warrior with an unchanged heart of gold. Beth Greene was written to be nothing more than a background character, but people loved her, and still love her. She is a rare character in apocalyptic shows, and killing her off was so predictable and cliche. This is a world where only the strong survive, she has survived suicidal thoughts and sexual abuse, and killing her off was just… explainable. It has become a show where we know Daryl, Rick, Carl and Michonne are safe, maybe Carol and Maggie too.
Beth was a ray of sunshine, not just in character, but out. She rebelled against the cliche ideal of survivors being physically strong, and that is why she should not have died.
If they go and bring Beth back it would destroy the momentum that the show carries and it would destroy what the show is all about. No one is safe.

I love her to death, but to be a true supporter of the show, you have to know that sooner or later there will be death. When there is a response of emotion, the writers have done their job. Yes, Bring Beth back. Plenty of fictional characters have survived unrealistically(even on TWD). The shock is in the creative way in which these characters are brought back. Beth was an integral character worthy of good story-telling.

The voice of reason here. What they have done this far, how much talk was there about where’s Beth. Is she a burger, missing on a milk carton, will we ever find her. Now the can use this. Did she actually pull through did they call the Dr down to revive her. They could leave her at the hospital as another plot with no one knowing if she pulled through or is in a coma. ( like Rick). I can’t imagine Beth coming back to life (or as a walker) but I did enjoy her character. I also love how Maggie acted as if she cared upon finding out about her sisters death yet it seems like she was only concerned about Glenn after the prison fell, didn’t seem worried about Beth at all.
Alright so here’s what I have to say about everyone wanting AMC to bring Beth back. I love Beth, don’t get me wrong, but we saw her get shot right through the head so there’s no way that she can come back to life, if that’s what everyone is wanting. Now I do agree that maybe there can be flashbacks of her, because that has happened before, and I also agree that she can return as a zombie but there is no way, I think, that she can come back to life. I say people getting pissed at AMC for killing Beth and with whatever else they don’t like just need to calm down and let Kirkman and Gimple and everyone else do what they do. They are doing such a good job with what they are doing and they have so many other great things planned, so people need to leave them alone and let them do what they do because Kirkman and Gimple are doing the things they do for a reason that eventually we’ll love…hopefully.

As the majority has replied already, hell no. IF this was to happen, and the writers caved to the “out of control and embarrassing fans”, this would take the most popular show on television and turn it into a soap opera, where characters come back from the dead, all the time and under the most ridiculous circumstances. It embarrasses me right now to even say I’m a fan of the show, and it only gets worse every single time this subject is brought up.

When I saw this bullshit on Good Morning America, it makes all fans of the show look insane and unrealistic. The media attention is only fueling their, what I call, bizarre behavior and demands. The “spoon campaign” is crazy considering they’ve all taken the Easter Egg’s meaning and reversed the meaning saying she was meant to go to instead of the “real” meaning, that she was NOT meant to go. The craziest part of all of tis to me is that she wasn’t one of the more popular characters on the show, so it’s mind blowing just thinking of how it’s going to be when of the more popular characters dies, we the fans, will actually “BREAK THE INTERNET” lol. Sounds crazy, but then again, who saw this shit coming really??

I love Beth. I love who she was becoming. I was extremely sad when she died… even cried. As much as i would would love her back, it would be absolutely ridiculous to being her back! They killed her off. It is what it is. Let it be!

Tampoco pueden hacer que todo haya sido un sueño, ya que ninguno de los peronajes tenia la suficiente informacion. Lo unico que se puede hacer es rehacer ese final de mierda que se mandaron, el reencuentro de las hermanas Greene es un mejor final, no todo tiene que ser muerte, y sin sentido. Se podrian haber echo peticiones por cualquier personaje, de cualquier serie inclusive, pero si lo hicieron ahora por este personaje es por algo.
If AMC wants to lose all respect it has (or ratings), well, just go for it. Death in TWD universe does not need to be meaningful. Death does not need to be heroic or for a purpose. Even though I believe Beth’s death could have been much better handled, it’s done. Don’t come back with even stupider excuses to (try) justify a return. Improve bad writing with even worse writing? Try to pacify a portion of fans in detriment of the whole storytelling or creative liberty? I don’t get it.
One more thing that I forgot to add, since I can’t edit my earlier post. I forgot all about mentioning the insane theories that I’ve heard these “fans” throw out of how to bring her back. I’ve heard that Beth could be the guardian angel to our group, for the remainder of the show. I’ve head that she could be Beth’s twin, that was separated at birth, that no one knew about. I’ve heard that her gunshot only grazed her head (lmfao, guess they didn’t see the brain matter & amount of blood the rest of us saw, right really?). I’ve heard that she could play an entirely new character that our group meets on the road. I’ve heard that the doctor at the hospital could save her from the gunshot wound (guess they automatically turned into a fully equipped hospital as the gun was fired, and is full of equipment after the gun was fired). I’ve also head that the doctor could somehow use the virus everyone is carrying (even though he had no knowledge of what Jenner told Rick, unless Jenner had somehow gotten to him before he imploded along with the CDC, right?).
The thing is, outside of the insane idea’s we’ve just heard, is that The Walking Dead is NOT a SOAP OPERA, and the only time we’ve seen anyone come back after dying would be to reanimate AS A WALKER, NOT AS THEMSELVES.
I’m hoping that Emily Kinney does finally release a statement about all this and simply thank her fans for the support and love (if this is love they’re showing, but really , the more I hear the more worrisome it becomes really). She needs to thank her fans and ask them to show their support by supporting what she’s been doing since summer everyone. She has not filmed since the last week in July/ the first week in August. Ask her fans to support her new music EP, buy a concert ticket, by a ticket to the play that she’s appearing in in New York. Watch and like her music video, show support of her current projects, not her past projects. You know, maybe they don’t realize this and maybe they do but they are actually hurting her career. Who is going to want to hire an actress associated with “unstable fans”, or “out of control fans”? No one, and this insanity will and is following her since her departure from the show. The longer she waits to make a statement, the worse it’s going to be for her. If she doesn’t address this, her future will be jeopardized, believe that. She also needs to ask her fans to take the money, time, and energy that is going into their “send AMC plastic spoons” campaign and feed the hungry children in their communities, to buy gifts for poor children for the holidays, to give food or clothing to the homeless. Or better yet, suggest charities that she supports and make a donation in her name, or how about go with one of the campaigns that I totally support, send her a thank you card through her agency. Now, that would make sense, make her smile, and NOT make you look like the CRAZY people you are making yourselves out to be.
AMC also needs to address the insanity, it will only continue to worsen the longer they ignore it. The majority of us know how much Gimple, Hurd, Kirkman, etc. love to sit back and watch the fans “run with ideas/theories”. The thrive on stuff like this and if anyone actually thinks that the’re going to listen to this small group of fans, they are as delusional as the theories themselves are. And yes, I do mean a small group of fans, versus the millions and millions of other fans out there that accept what happens on the show. What about the other deaths we’ve had? Hershel was a beloved character, loved by all. No one called for the show runners to bring him back. Hell, why didn’t anyone suggest that they could have sewn his head back on, right? Really? Why not? If they’re going to call for Beth to come back from having her brains blown out, why couldn’t Hershel have had his head sewn back on? Right now this small portion of the viewing audience are making it appear that all TWD fans are unstable, irrational, and pretty much out of our minds. We are NOT all like that. The other millions and millions of fans that have loved, accepted, disliked at times, loved the majority of the time, hated at some times, and so on. The TRUE FANS accept what happens, we might not like it, we might hate it, and we might not always agree but we accept the show for what it is. The Most Popular Show On TV, period. It makes us laugh, makes us cry, makes us curse, makes us angry, makes us even hate the show runners at times, but that goes to show they are doing their jobs. Like it or not, this is The Walking Dead. We are not all crazy. We don’t all need psychiatric care. We don’t all need to be locked away from the public. We don’t call for unrealistic expectations from the show runners. You know, I really liked Beth’s character until all of this happened. Now I cannot even wait to see them bury her. Maybe this shit will stop then, my God people, get a fucking grip on reality, and if you can’t I highly suggest you stop watching immediately because you’re mentally not going to be able to survive the remainder of the show for real.

You know, the more I think about this the clearer it’s becoming.This HAD to be one of the BETHLY community that started all this bullshit. There was never all of this hatred, bullying, bashing, harassment, etc. until the shipping started and got heated in the show. It was ONLY when some saw something romantic between Daryl & Beth or Daryl & Carol, did this all start. Looking back and re-watching episodes, I can say I saw nothing on either side of the Daryl romance theory.
There was NEVER this hatred between fans, friends, groups, etc. until shippers started forming non-existent romantic links between Daryl and/or Carol/Beth. I’ve never seen any hatred like I’ve seen since all of this came about. So I think it’s pretty safe to say, at this point, that if all of this is traced back, it will be linked to a Bethyl shipper.
I have to ;say, I never heard of shipping before this show and if this is what it’s all about, I think it’s really sad. I’ve seen friends actually hate, bash, belittle, personally attack each other over this and you’d think that the show is a teen based drama and that sucks. The people who have not seen the show will look at all of this and will never take the time to see what the show is really about and that sucks. This group is ruining this for the true fans and the potential future fans, and I hate that.
So, to the groups that started this and to the ones that keep this shit going, thanks for ruining the show for the “true fans” and for the potential future fans. You’ve ruined it for all of us.
I actually liked her… And everyone I know did as well. I’ve liked her all along and loved her even more when she started having more of a backbone. Seems unfair that they JUST start giving her a storyline… A good one. And they take it away? Anyhow… When the show comes back on… And somehow some way… Beth is still on the show fans will have a fit then as well. How do we know that it isn’t the intentions of the writers to make us think something horrible like this happened? Again… I liked her many people i knew did… Seems as though she got the raw end of the deal. But… Regardless of what happens it won’t stop me from watching it. Like so many have threatened.
Good, no, she can’t back.if they gonna bring back Beth, they have bring back Hershel, Bob por Andrea. If the writers and producers do this,this series is going to go down.
