I’ve been monitoring you show-only fans to see what you make of Alexandria so far and the overwhelming consensus is that it is bad news. Can’t say I blame you. This is The Walking Dead, after all. Death will follow our group wherever they go. But hey, it’s a nice town, right? And showers! But also some sketchy characters. Will we learn more tonight? Let’s find out!
Sasha can’t sleep, so what’s a girl to do? Take all the framed pictures in the house, check out a gun from Olivia (who we learn used to make some kick ass pickles), and head outside the wall for some highly aggravated target practice. She constantly looks around like she hears something. Is she losing it? Or is something up? With no more family portraits to destroy, she sits on a stump and says “Come and get me.”
After the credits, Rick, Carol, and Daryl meet outside the walls by the abandoned house with the blender trash heap. They hatch a plan to get some guns back from lock-up. They’ll just leave a window unlatched and sneak in. Daryl points out that someone in Alexandria now has a gun, referring to the blender gun that’s missing.
A walker approaches and Carol proceeds to put about 12 rounds in it. She told them they were going shooting, couldn’t come back with a full mag. That Carol, man! As they head back they see a downed walker and wonder about the W carved in its head…
Michonne tries her new uniform on for size. Rick shows up and wonders what kind of game Deanna might be playing to put two strangers in charge as cops. They go talk to Deanna to get their marching orders. “You patrol, walk the wall, watch out for the kids, if there’s a conflict, solve it.” Deanna is looking long-term: If they’re going to make it as a civilization they’ll need a police force. In fact, she has Maggie working with her in order to help build a government.
Rick wants to talk about security. He walks them all along the wall. He points out that people could climb the walls using the supports. He wants people patrolling, checking for possible entry attempts. When Sasha shows up and volunteers to be one of the lookouts, we find out that they have no lookouts. At all. Rick is disgusted. Deanna says they’ll create shifts and Sasha volunteers for as many as possible. Deanna’s a little dubious of Sasha’s enthusiasm. She says she’ll consider making Sasha primary if she attends the party she’s throwing for them that night.
Carol plays Suzy Homemaker with the neighborhood ladies while they swap recipes. She slips away to talk subterfuge with Rick instead. The party will offer the perfect opportunity to steal some sweet ass biscuits—errr guns—from the armory.
She heads to storage and chats Olivia up about recipes, grabs some chocolate, plays dumb about guns, and unlatches the window.
Later, Carol, Rick, Carl, and Judith show up for the party. Abe and Rosita show up soon after. Everyone looks very presentable and fairly uncomfortable. Abe’s pretty unsure about everything until he finds out they have beer, at which point he’s willing to make an effort.
Deanna introduces Rick to her husband Reg. Reg admits to being awed by Rick and what his group has said about him and the things he’s done. Rick says he thinks the wall is a pretty big deal as well. Rick agrees to have a drink with him after initially refusing. Rick’s maybe accepting this place a bit..?
Jessie, Pete, and their two boys arrive, which Rick definitely notices.
A bit later in the evening Noah, Glenn, and Maggie are off to the side. Noah says he might leave and Maggie and Glenn stop him. “You’re here with family.”
Carol notices that Olivia has arrived so she throws down a smoke bomb and jumps out the window. Or just walks off. One of the two. She’s off for some sidearms in the now-vacant armory.
Jessie introduces Rick to her husband, Pete, and the two act like they did not meet the night before. Was Pete too drunk to remember? Or do they both want to play off the incident like it didn’t happen? In any event, Pete offers to refill their drinks and Rick is left alone with Jessie. She gives a sort of awkward monologue about how things are better and trying to appreciate what they have. Rick takes it all in and ultimately agrees.
Sam runs up, complaining about cookies. When Rick tells him that he knows the baker Sam points out that Rick doesn’t have a stamp. He gives Rick a big, red “A” stamp on his hand. I guess for Alexandria? All I can think of is the scarlet letter.
Sasha arrives. Spencer Monroe, Deanna’s son, answers the door. Spencer’s really friendly (he offers to guard Sasha against Mrs. Niedermeyer’s rambling discourse on her need for a pasta maker), which I think might be too much for Sasha, who quickly excuses herself.
Abraham heads out to the porch and finds Michonne contemplating her plastic cocktail sword. Perhaps talking about more than a 3 inch piece of plastic he says, “Pray to God you don’t have to use it again, pray to God you don’t get used to not using it again. It’s on your back, even when it’s off your back.” And then admits that he’s drunk. He tells her that things have turned out pretty well for him. And then he tries to get her to admit how things are going for her but she seems reticent.
Carol breaks into the armory, steals some chocolate (I think it’s chocolate), and then starts packing up the guns. Everything’s going perfect and then… Jessie’s youngest, Sam, shows up. He was following her hoping she was going to make some more cookies. Carol offers to make him cookies in exchange for keeping quiet. And then threatens the shit out of him. Telling him she’ll tie him up outside the walls if he tells anyone. Jesus, Carol.
Jessie is carrying around Judith, and happy to be doing so (babies are pretty rare in an apocalypse). Rick lets her know that he agrees with her, that Alexandria isn’t so bad. He takes Judith back and then leans in to give a really meaningful kiss on the cheek. They both kind of look at each other and then Jessie walks off. Rick kind of looks a little stunned.
Deanna asks Sasha to come join a conversation. When Sasha hears the banal subject matter and sees how casual everyone is about food and drink she starts flashing back to the awful things she’s seen and what they’ve been through. An Alexandrite starts pushing her for her favorite meal so she can cook it for her. When she says she’s worried she’ll cook the wrong thing, Sasha flips. “THAT’S WHAT YOU WORRY ABOUT?!” and then storms off.
Meanwhile, much earlier in the day, Daryl’s still outside the walls after his meeting with Carol and Rick when he comes across Aaron. A salty Daryl lets Aaron tag along hunting. Before long they come upon a horse. Aaron’s been trying to catch him for months. His name is Buttons. [BUTTONS LIVES!!! Comic fans rejoice!] Daryl takes some rope and slowly approaches. Daryl fans are swooning and passing out all over the place. That doesn’t last long because some walkers show up and Buttons bolts. They kill the walkers and follow. Along the way Daryl lets Aaron know that he’s into motorcycles and Aaron commiserates with Daryl about being an outsider. He lets Daryl know that people feared him and Eric less the more they got to know them, trying to get Daryl to open up to everyone.
Buttons is in a field, surrounded by walkers. Daryl and Aaron move in to kill the walkers. Aaron gets tripped up by a walker that was hidden in the grass. Daryl comes over and stomps its head. Aaron in turn shoots a walker headed for Daryl. They run for Buttons but it’s too late—The walkers pull him down and tear into him.
Daryl and Aaron kill the walkers. Daryl tells Aaron to put Buttons out of her misery. “He always ran,” Aaron says. “You were trying to help him,” Daryl tells him. Metaphor. They head back to Alexandria.
That night we see Daryl, who’s cleaned up a bit, looking into the welcoming party from outside the house. Apparently deciding against joining he walks off. Aaron sees him as he walks down the street and invites him in for dinner.
At the dinner table, Daryl slurps down spaghetti like a damn savage. Eric asks Daryl to keep an eye out on his travels for a pasta maker for Mrs Niedermeyer so she’ll shut up about it. When Daryl looks at him like he has no idea what “travels” he’s talking about, Aaron brings Daryl to garage to show him a half-built motorcycle and a garage’s worth of parts. It’s revealed that Aaron wants Daryl to help recruit new people. The bike will be his. He thinks that not only is Daryl highly adept outside the walls but Daryl knows the difference between a good person and a bad person. For a second it looks like Daryl is genuinely touched.
The next day, Deanna meets Sasha at the gates with her gun. She tells her she’s trying to figure out what Sasha’s deal is. Sasha says that Alexandria isn’t real and Deanna tells her that’s bullshit and opens the gate for her.
Carol, Rick, and Daryl meet by the abandoned house outside the wall to hand out the stolen guns. Daryl questions even needing them. He doesn’t think they’d even need them if things did go bad. He says he’s trying and doesn’t take one. Rick does and tucks it in his pants under his jacket.
Inside, Michonne hangs up her sword. Without the case (which seems weird to me).
Rick, Daryl, and Carol get back inside the walls and go their separate ways. Rick sees Pete and Jessie walking. She says hi and flashes her “A” stamp. Rick smiles and flashes his back. As he watches them walk away we get a close up of Rick reaching back and putting his hand on the stolen gun. EASY RICK!
He hears a ruckus by the wall and heads over. He stands there and puts his hand on the wall. We can see a zombie on the other side banging against it. Rick stares down at the A on his hand and the music starts to echo. The last shot is of Rick just standing there at the wall, frozen.
END
Sasha: death wish? Is she trying to destroy her own past? What’s the symbolism of shooting old pictures?
Week two of Alexandria. NOW what do you guys think of it? Still think Deanna is a baddie (like so many of you do in our poll)?
What do you make of Daryl making a little room in his heart for Alexandria after being taken in by Aaron and Eric?
Rick and Jessie? Is that going to be a problem?
What’s up with Rick and his weird moment at the wall? Is he losing it again?
SPEAK! We are listening!
So many things I am excited about in this moment, but the last thing that had me jumping out of my chair was that at the end of the episode Rick walks past a street sign that says MORGAN. Yes, yes, yes. Come on Morgan, we are waiting for you!
I saw that too and flipped right out, he even stood there for a bit
Wanna go play out in heavy traffic? Simply find a busy freeway.
totally saw that!!! It’s going to be in this week’s blog!
I think the “W” was really a “M” too. Morgan will be back soon.
I don’t think that’s an M. Morgan wasn’t looking crazy at last sighting. What sane person tags walkers? It’s a W.
I do think Morgan’s close though. Maybe Daryl is going to run into him on his 90 minute quest for a pasta maker for fucking Mrs Neidermeyer.
What about the other ‘W’ found at Noah’s house? Was that then a ‘W’ too?
Thinking of it having an association more sinister then what Morgan might have to bring?
The ending scene to this episode was perfect, I absolutely loved that, I will be watching it on loop all night lol but what did you guys think about the “A” stamp on Rick’s hand (alluding to the A o the train car and the church) I thought it was a great touch. I have decided that Carol likes to bully children and I really like the Daryl/Aaron friendship going on, two totally different people really came together this episode. The show has totally surpassed my hopes and expectations this season and I really can’t wait for what’s to come!
this is whats 2 come
The A? What about the W on the forehead? Like on the limbless walkers @ Noah’s?
Try a “M” for Mrogan
The Wolves are coming – biiiiiiig troubles.
🙂
(They probably have a female leader named “Regan”…)
I don’t mind swaps, but they BETTER NOT TOUCH NEGAN!!
I don’t think it was an A train reference as it was just a kid with a stamp trying to make them a part of the “A”lexandira community
Bee Gees on TWD ….Nice 😉
COOKIES, PLEASE!!
What do you guys think about the W on the walkers foreheads? We’ve seen this before in 508, I’ve heard a few things like them being a part of The Wolves (In 508 there was a sign saying Wolves Not Far) or possibly being The Whisperers (Although I think after todays episode that that probably isnt the case) then the final and the theory I agree with most is that they are the walkers that Negan has that surround his camp.
P.S. Unrelated but I already miss Buttons, he was in my life for about 10 minutes and now he is gone
I’m thinking The Wolves is the new name for The Saviors, The Whisperers are coming sooner, or The Wolves are simply the DC Scavengers.
to me it was M like another reference to morgan or somthing IDK just what i think :/
I was thinking it’s the Saviors with a different faction name.
Is “porch dick” abusive?
Looks to me like he has a drinking issue? As seen when he snapped at his wife for attempting to interfere with him getting his next refill?
Can’t wait to see the comic to screen comparison on this one!
I loved this episode!!! Everyone did great, W is still a mystery and fucking MORGAN ST people!!!!! Woot Woot!!!
Loved Carol threatening that kid! Favorite part of the ep.
If she’s not making kids “look at the flowers”, she’s threatening to tie them to trees for zombies to eat.
Take heed children, do not fuck with Carol.
Oh Carol….
the W on the foreheads obviously stands for Wumbo (spongbob anyone?) lol
anyways i cant wait to see what is to come, Morgan cannot come soon enough! I loved how Sasha took michonnes little freakout at the party.
cant wait for next episode!
Again, Carol is my episode MVP.
– She’s rocking that “invisible-couture” like no one else could. She’s a beautiful Trogan horse in a coordinating sweater set.
– Cookies or slow painful death, choose you little fucker. Carol is not above blasting a little one who is a threat to the group. Give me cookies or give me death.
Wow… Nice EP! So let’s address the “Darryl is Gay” rumor… Sure seems like they might be heading that way. Maybe this “Eric” will die, and D will hook up with Aaron after. It’s possible, he sure seems to like him, well enough even to decide to “give it a try” now, when before he was completely with Rick and Carol.
So Carol, as the Scary “Cookie Lady”… Love it! There’s not much more to say on that one.
Rick is losing it a tad… AGAIN. How long before the Loriphone comes back out?
It seems that Sasha is going to take Michonne’s comic role, and perhaps Michonne will become Andrea… That means her and Rick eventually. NOT sure how I like that, not because of race, but because it feels weird to me. I’d sooner see Rick and Carol in that situation, just because they’re both so damaged, and nuts at this point, shown clearly by Carol’s actions in this episode, and Rick’s little looney wall behavior.
Creepy A… Who didn’t think of Terminus on that one. We know this is not the same situation, but perhaps it’s a reminder that originally the Termites were “peaceful helpers” inviting others in, and then were taken over by an outside group. Will this situation be similar, perhaps sans cruelty?
Morgan Street… Obvious Egg there. Maybe we’ll see him soon.
So far, great Ep. Sad about Buttons though. I’d rather have seen Darryl catch the poor thing. That scen sucked so bad.
DID YOU GUYS JUST KILL BUTTONS????? WTF PRODUCERS? You guys couldn’t just let the comic book readers think that Buttons was doing okay? No! You have to be like “fyi – Buttons is dead.” I hate all of you.
No – not just Buttons Is Dead – but Buttons has been eaten alive….!
Morgan Street, Carol as a fucking bitch threatening Sam/ Carol as a sweet housewife exchanging recipes/ Carol as a poor woman who doesn’t know how to use a gun!!, Daryl’s attitude!, Rick&Jessie, Sasha hating Alexandria.. etc etc etc.. wow.. excellent episode, as usual!!!
only 3 more episodes left then we get ready for
Carol was amazing. I hope we see more of her. I wonder if she takes a certain characters place later down the road like she has been doing tonight.
Which character are you think of I’m a little rusty on this part of the comics so I can’t remember any character acting this way around this time in the books of the top of my head.
So what is up… did you completely miss out on the issue between Pete and his wife at the party? He totally snaps at her simply for offering that she could get the drinks. I am assuming she is trying to keep him from the alcohol?
We are likely going to see the ‘A’ again on some walkers? Maybe helping to identify the few that were cast out from the community and got turned? Will one of those few be the constable that Rick is now filling in for? I couldn’t imagine we would run into an alive person with the stamp… unless they absolutely never wash their hands? (How long do these tattoos last?)
The ‘W’…? Does it stand for ‘Walker’, ‘Wanderer’, ‘Wolves’, ‘Whisperers”, ‘Womaniser’? I myself am leaning towards it being a mark made on people prior to being cast out to become a walker/wanderer? Or it simply could be a way for another group to mark their territory? Though it confuses me as to why they would do so? I do think the wounds appear to be more pre-death then post death… in my eyes?
Carol… really? As if the chocolate you stole will not be noticed? This is sure to lead to Olivia (is that her name?) commenting on knowledge that she knows Carol took something she shouldn’t have? Which of course is the chocolate and not the guns?
Obviously the ending with Rick hearing the threat of a Walker and then seeing it in perspective to him and but a sheet of metal separating them eludes to the premise of the wall being the difference between what they had before and what they have now. Also, referenced in talking with Reg and his building of it. This wall will be coming down for sure…
Sasha being a lookout that previously was never really in place? She is obviously going to see something going on outside those walls. Horde? Outsiders? Girl sneaking to meet someone?
Daryl was given a little scare intentionally for the female fans… no he is not going to have a 3some with our resident gay couple. But we do see he has zero issue with any matters of their sexual identity and shows once again that he accepts people based on simply their actions being good or not. Sorry… but if Daryl was in any manner interested in these guys or anyone for that matter then he would have cleaned himself up. ha You will know when he likes someone that way… he will get his hair cut and maybe use a bar of soap? I think he might be forced to take one of these guys out though… in an odd twist?
Where is Gabriel? I still don’t trust him for some reason too? His role has been just too weak. I can see him running like a coward when this all goes down (something is obviously going to go down) and either run into someone that uses him for info or he just gets his comeuppance?
I have to watch the show again tonight to try and find anything I missed but so far I am still just waiting for something that is slowly brewing?
Well this was fantasitc, easily one of my favs because of how dark our group was, theyre playing it up so well and i love it, im diggin that sasha seems to have taken on dual comic roles in the sense of the sniper (andrea) and not being able to play house (michonne) so im excited to see how her doing both will pan out, also loooooving carol in this episode, and speaking of comic mix ups i lovr that carol went in for the guns and not glenn, and i honestly never thought the tv show would ever actually capture the real raw seriousness of the survivors when threatened but carols “lets make a deal” with that kid was pure fuckin true walking dead, pumped for the wolviors eventually but im most excited for all the huge character development to come, i remember reading this arc and being so enticed and on edge at all times, and with the way the shows been portraying the comics i cant help but get warm inside, overall one of my favs of this whole season, easily
I dont think Daryl will end up gay. Plus Kirkman said that he was straight already.
Holy crap scary Carol! I am beginning to not like her now. There were obviously other ways to handle that situation. Pretty stoked to see Daryl back on a motorcycle. Rick is kissing married women! Hopefully her husband doesnt find out. Totally want Rick and Jessie to be a thing. Does anybody else have a bad feeling qbout her husband. Obviously comic readers like myself know what happens to him but i still have a bad feeling about him. Since there is no douglass and regina, i bet pete ends up killing one of deannas sons, probably aiden, then she will tell rick to kill him.
Anyone notice how Jessie looks similar to Andrea from the comics? I am sure that was deliberate.
It would seem that the communities have their own brands, so to speak. Perhaps Negan carves a W on the heads of his people instead of putting an iron to their face.
I have a feeling Negan will make an appearance mid way through season 6. Either that or the beginning of 7. Still much to do in Alexandria.
It could be Negan putting W’s on foreheads, but I would much rather see them use the iron. Its a great opportunity for a sweet special effect!
Also, screw you writers!! You had a great opportunity to make sweet sword montage that was straight out of the comics once Michonne hung up her sword!!!!
Great episode again!
I was expecting Merle’s motorcycle to be under that tarp in Aaron & Eric’s garage (can’t remember what actually happened to it in the show) and Carol scaring (or scarring!) that kid, wow!
Here’s my twopence on the ‘W’s, I think they’ve something to do with Negan, but I don’t think we’ll find out until the mid season finale of season 6.
Also, this season’s finale being extended (and Norman Reedus saying we’re gonna need kleenex and will be screaming at our TV’s) is gonna be epic, I’m thinking major character deaths, that’s right..deaths!
I think we’re done with deaths for this season; if I had to guess, based on what you’re saying that Reedus is saying, I would go with DARYL BEING EXILED!
I think Jesse gets it… maybe her son too? Leaving the doctor alone on that porch drinking again. Trying to figure when Rick is going to see a dead person with an ‘A’ on their hands… and this is as good a chance as any?
Something tells me that Jessie may last longer than her comic counterpart did.
Totally possible but I only know of the comics mostly from what little is derived from comments here.
I heard that Carl gets his eye shot out but am thinking it will likely be the boy Carol talked to? Got to get rid of him some way?
Rick = Shane… damn near on all counts now! 😀
Lol that’s what my friends said last night. Like Rick is Shane now
The moral side of me is a little put off but the other 90% of me is screaming, YESSSS!!!!
Rick and Shane: “I love your wife. I know your both married but I don’t care. I’m going to build up my rage and love filled heart until I kill you and your wife is mine!”
One good thing: JESSIE AIN’T NO LORI!!!
The first thing the red “A” stamp made me think of was the scarlet letter. You know, the “classic” book where the puritans made adulterers wear a big red letter A on their clothes to shame them for committing the sin of adultery.
Love all this episode loved the changes from the comic. I don’t think there will be a Rick and michonne relationship. I see that with Carol or honestly it could happen with sashsa. I think michoone is much more stable than sasha mentally and that’s why the producers swapped out the worry spazz from the comic and did it for sasha. She’s clearly been through a lot more than michonne in the past few months. Still it was good to see on tv acted out. Did anybody else want to slap miss neidemeyer like damn bish cook whatever and stfu lol. Daryl and aaron seem like they’re a good twam. I don’t think they’re going to ever date or anything. Aaron is just making a good she division to help everybody he loves. Keep eric safe. Keep Alexandria safe by allowing Daryl (the prisons scout) help find and bring in good people like Bob who Daryl bright into the prison fold. Carol is just fucking nuts. Dint forget people Carol has made some of the most important need to.be done decisions and if sammy boy opens his mouth i believe he’s going to get Carol special bedtime story. WHO TF DOES PETE THINK HE IS TAKING A DRINK OUT OF RICK MF GRIMES HAND. NOBODY TAKES ANYTHING OUTTA RICK GRIMES HAND. HE’S LUCKY. Rick could’ve killed him right there lol but yea i can’t wait for the Pete story to take off. I think it’s going to be good on the show. All the changes they’ve made from the comic sits well with me I’m excited for the next episode and season 5 has probably been the best season so far. Keep it up walking dead team you guys are doing magic
BUTTONS NO!
Has everybody forgot we got tv Tobin tonight? I feel he’s been overshadowed by Buttons.
Ricks gonna lose it and kill Alexandria’s only doctor. Daryl is gonna go recruit morgan.
You have scarred me for life AMC. I thought that Buttoon’s had a chance of making it but you dashed those hopes away as soon as you could. The only thing keeping me sane is the hope that Comic Buttons is still out there…. How many more most die!?
Am I the only one who is still waiting to finally see Heath?
I’m with you. I’m kind of pissed that Heath, Scott, and Dr Denise Cloyd were left out so far.
Yeah I’m with you guys too, I kind of feels like the comic Alexandria characters I liked best e.g Heath, Holly and Denise have been left out.
The w is for negans wolves, the walkers are tied to his fort to protect him some have got loose and wondered to Alexandria, rick as usual will mess things up and kill Pete and end up with his wife. daryl will wonder off on his bike and meet the wolves / saviours then yes negan finally obvious we will meet a tiger along the way and Jesus Christ dwight / daryl
How have I been so unobservant? Just realized that Sasha added Tyreese’s suspenders and belt to Bob’s shirt. I had wondered why she didn’t take take his hat, but this is a much more practical memorial. Poor, broken hearted Sasha.
Also, baby bump sighting at the beginning of the episode when she’s shooting! They have done a fantastic job working around Sonequa’s baby belly this season but I am constantly watching for it!
Well first of all, this episode was brilliant. Love how Carol is playing vulnerable, weak housewife like she didn’t take down Terminus. Interested to see how the whole Rick/Pete thing plays out in relation to the comics and considering Pete is so far the only doctor we know of in Alexandria. I believe that Daryl might be gay and to be honest, I hope he is because it will go against stereotypes of gay men and how they’re all “feminine”. I don’t think the ‘W’ has anything to do with Negan. I believe it is too soon for Negan and we won’t see him till mid season 6 at least. I do think the ‘W’ is from the scavengers from the comics. I don’t think Negan was responsible for what happened to Noahs town, I think he would’ve made them cough up their supplies as per not slaughter them like that despite his ruthlessness. Whereas the scavengers however I do think are suitable for that. I think we could possible see the scavengers in the last ep of this season and if the show continues to stick closely to the comics which it has recently then will we see the herd that is drawn by the gunfire and the thing that happens to Carl… I didn’t spot the Morgan egg but i’m going to rewatch the episode a millions times anyway so I will this time. Seriously, where is he? What is he doing? I liked how Sasha had the dual role of Andrea and Michonne this ep. Anyways, I think it’s a while till we see Negan, it would be messy introducing him alot sooner than mid season 6 finale. Well then again it still will be messy when they do introduce him – poor Glenn.
Just watched a third time. Still giggle every time Rick plants one on Jessie.
Why haven’t we seen Glenn and Maggie interacting together? Barely seeing them lately???
“Michonne hangs up her sword. Without the case (which seems weird to me).” – Looks like the TV show did their homework when they had her place the sword… it is supposed to be handle to the right.
.
“Generally, the katana sword is kept within its scabbard when displaying it in your home. There are some circumstances when it is appropriate to display a katana out of its scabbard, one of these is if your nation is at war. When displaying in such a manner, you are conveying aggression and guarded attitude and the handle of your katana will be pointing to your right.”
I don’t think the average joe is gonna know exactly how to display a katana. We call Michonne a Samurai, but that’s only a term of endearment.
Again, I think producers intentionally were saying something here. Regardless of if Michonne herself might or might not in fact know proper display of the weapon. Though for those that have bothered to have one in their house even for display would know the basics more so then not. Again. not aware of any knowledge of what she has or hasn’t but the producers are smart in leaving these little eggs for us to see/find.
nicely picked up….
I believe Negan did rip noahs estate apart because of the baseball indentation in the walkers head, he is still a long way off but his men are around and haven’t discovered Alexandria yet, we need to see Jesus first of course and perhaps dwight/daryl .
Great ep this week ricks sure to flex his leadership soon on Pete.
Kevin Smith (on talking dead) acted like we should know what the “W” stands for from the comics, saying “wolves” specifically. I can’t remember this anywhere in the comics. Can anyone elaborate?
I mean, I thought he was getting at Negan, but it doesn’t seem as obvious as he was making it sound.
Maybe he meant the comic book that Carl picked up? It said “Wolf Fight” on the back.
Many believe that the scavengers will be named ‘Wolves’ or something like that in the TV show? If I am picking up on that correctly?
I hate to burst everyone’s bubble, and I could be wrong, but I am from Alexandria. I grew up adjacent to Morgan Street in a 250-ish home development that would be ideal to wall off and defend. It was also located right across the street from the largest section of woods in the city – note the quick access to woods on the show. It is plausible that the show’s producers/staff did a little research and selected a development/area to take creative license from which could work within the episode.

Its really lame that the horse died.Soon they will need to find other ways to get around, cars and gasoline is not something that can be used that long in post apocalyptia. I get really irritated about this.
Once here there was an ice storm and there was no gas anywhere after 3 days, so guess what after 2 years of zombie infestation and no one refining gas.
Is Darryl’s end coming? What’s with the A? the W? Check out the new blog to hear my thoughts!!
diggingdeepersymbols.blogspot.com
My thoughts:
1. Poor buttons!
2. Carol is scary.
3. Darryl is gay, and I can’t wait for him to come out.
4. W is for Wolves who are going to be the Saviors.
5. The season will end with the herd, Jessie’s husband will die but she and her son(s) will survive and hook up with Rick.
6. Please have Jesus on the show! Maybe he & Darryl…oh yeah.
1. Yep… he would have been a good meal for the Alexandria group.
2. Yes… we knew that awhile back when she burned some people alive, killed a troubled kid and took out a batch of baddies single handedly.
3. Nope… already stated in interview by producer that they didn’t take that path. (though they had no issue with him if he wanted to be gay.ha)
4. W for wolves… likely wit all the hints given. Saviors vs Scavengers…? Still up in the air.
5. Herd ending? Possible but unless the preview is for the ending instead of next week then they run into a herd already. Yep… Pete is going to die, but wouldn’t count out at least the youngest getting whacked too… otherwise it will really be awkward with Scary Carol the cookie lady and him? 😉
6. Who is this Hispanic guy you talk of? A bike rider seeing that you bring up Darryl? ;P
