It’s the weekend! And it’s winter! So maybe it’s raining, or snowing, or just plain cold outside. What better time to snuggle up with your computer and read some of the TWD news and discussions you might have missed?! That’s a thing people do, right? Let’s hit the wrap up!
We love it when a new issue of TWD drops. It’s always great to see what the reaction will be, and folks are reacting in our 135 Discussion post. I love how Carl is kind of looking a little unhinged and possibly borrowing some vocabulary from a certain inmate. Where is his character heading exactly? And what is that turd Gregory up to?
Another fun thing is releasing upcoming TWD covers. Now, ideally, you wouldn’t see the cover until the week before release, or maybe not even at all, but retailers need to see these things so they know what they’re buying. Which means the art gets out. Which means we premiere it here so that you can see it in a nice, safe, environment. (And also so we get page views.) And this upcoming March is a doozy! TWO issues and one of them is the start of a new arc and that cover left jaws on the floor!
It’s ALMOST Christmas! I have done ZERO shopping and am kind of freaking out. If you’re like me, and want some help with some TWD stuff, we have you covered. Oh Beth. The character we never heard much about, just some complaining. And then she died. And Twitter exploded. Now there’s petitions and tweets and hashtags and some people want her back and some people don’t and we can’t just ignore it. It is kind of our job to talk about these things. To that end, we put up a poll asking if you guys thought AMC Would Bring Beth Back (I was actually kind of surprised at the results). And we also put up a tongue-in-cheek piece about HOW she could come back.
And last but not least, a lot of news outlets were talking about this cast and crew preview of the back half of season 5! Things will get pretty dire for a bit!

To the Beth situation, I personally think some people are too biased and focus on one character and not the show as a whole. If you aren’t prepared for the death of anyone/everyone (Or at least a large portion) on the show, it’s not the show for you. I personally hope that Negan’s girl Lucille give Daryl a kiss and he’s gone. As for the comic, Gregory is a turd biscuit. I think Carl has started a war of sorts inside the walls of hilltop. Plus, I’m hoping kirkman keeps the whisperers around for a while. Judging by the new cover releases, they’ll be short lived. (I hope my thought is wrong) 139 is very interesting look into a MUCH “Larger World” and can’t wait. I’ll reiterate what BASETE said and hope for an and images 139.

Agreed, there should be some pretty exciting stuff happening right around the bend here and i cant wait, i also hope the whisperers story isnt cut short, i like a constant threat but the zeds themselves have gotten a little less threatening so to toss these guys in makes me smile
Hahaha and yes i would also love some daryl lucille date night action, non comics readers everywhere would have simultaneous head explosions, and it would be a cool image to really hammer in how serious of a threat negan is, plus i love glenn

I personally think they should write Daryl’s character into Dwight’s character. The struggle between Negan’s orders and Daryl’s morals would be interesting. Although, Daryl would have to be separated from the main group. I think that would be good for the show also is Daryl was absent for a while. I can really see that one scene playing out in my head where Daryl (Dwight) would be forced to shoot Rick with an infected crossbow bolt. Also, I just can’t see them having two characters so similar looking and with a crossbow on the show. Thoughts?
Kirkman has had a crossbow-weilding marauder on the show, so I don’t think another crossbowman would be out of the question as far as appearing on the show. However, I don’t believe there would be another favored character that would be known for carrying the crossbow. Kirkman really likes Daryl… probably more so than Dwight. So I was thinking that maybe there would be no Dwight. The bolt action on Rick, if it takes place at all, could possibly be with another weapon, another character. If they kill Daryl off & bring Dwight in, no one (except maybe a just a few of us, including me) could love to learn Dwight, no matter how suppressed by Negan they make him out to be. So then they’d probably have to make Dwight a villain, to appease viewers.
I do really like your thoughts here, CharmsTWD! I wouldn’t doubt it if it was actually being considered… Daryl’s character is in need of direction! I prefer Daryl with a chip on his shoulder & this direction would make him cool again, to me.
Negan smashing in Daryl’s head would be even more perfect then him smashing in glenns, but hopefully before that happens Daryl knocks up Carol so there will be some dixon offspring kicking walker ass in the future.
Plus dwight got his dick bit off by so eugine and i dont know how much fun that’d be to shoot hahaha
