Walking Dead fan favorite Danai Gurira (Michonne) is a badass on AND off screen. When she’s not slicing walker’s heads off, she serves as President of the Almasi Arts Alliance located in Zimbabwe. Almasi, which Gurira co-founded in 2011, helps empower the voices of African artists through collaborating with American artists.

Their site states, “Our goal is to see that no African artistic voice is left silent. That no African story is left untold. And that we in the U.S. gain a better understanding of the African through their subjective storytelling, which in turn nurtures global citizenship.” Gurira, 37, was born in the U.S. but raised in Zimbabwe.

To help raise funds for her mission Gurira is giving Walking Dead fans the chance to win a HUGE giveaway that includes tickets to the Season 6 PREMIERE in New York AND a trip to Atlanta to have lunch with Gurira herself. Additionally the winner will get to take a weapons training course and be made up as a walker. All YOU have to do is donate $10 to her cause and you might be sitting across from Michonne in an Atlanta near you.
